Rangoli on Diwali Night

One of my best Rangoli work (Lord Krishna) . It's on the occasion of Diwali celebrations as a part of Rangoli competition. It took a total of four hours.Sprinkling powder by hand is a very laborious and difficult process, however, and it's difficult to render fine details.
Lord Krishna is worshiped across many traditions of Hinduism, often depicted as a young cowherd boy playing a flute or a youthful prince giving philosophical direction and guidance.
Rangoli is one of the most popular art forms in India. It is a form of decoration that uses finely ground white powder and colours, and is used commonly outside homes in India.
Rangoli can be wall art as well as floor art. The term rangoli is derived from words rang (colour) and aavalli(coloured creepers ).
Originally Rangoli was done in small patterns — 2 feet square — but now entire floor areas of rooms and hotel foyers are covered in intricate detailed designs. Traditionally, such floor decorations were done only on auspicious occasions or festivals. But today, any occasion is good enough — weddings, birthday parties, opening ceremonies, etc. In the deep South and South West of India and Kerala, flowers are used to create floor art.Rangoli can be improvised into diverse visual art forms. For instance, it can be used to make elaborate images that look as if they were painted.
In Indian cultures all guests and visitors occupy a very special place, and a rangoli is an expression of this warm hospitality. In particular, the Diwali festival is widely celebrated with rangoli, since at this time, people visit each other's homes to exchange greetings and sweets.Rangoli also has a religious significance, enhancing the beauty of the surroundings and spreading joy and happiness all around.

A Bird In The Rain

After the long summer full of heat,
The Clouds gave some hope of relief.
As it rained on the thirsty ground,
Soon it was greenery all around.

One day as it rained heavily outdoors,
I sat watching a little feather as it soars.
Something I noticed near my bedroom window,
Shivering with cold a poor little sparrow.

The bird flew as the rain stopped,
Her small nest lay there covered with drops.
Everyday the bird Worked bit by bit,
Finished the nest which looked very sweet.

One early morning as the days passed,
I Woke up as new born chicks cried.
They all lay in the cold weather,
Under the warmth of her small feathers.

The scene to me was a great delight,
Holding one of them as the mother was out.
Innocent and delicate life as it was,
I had fun with it for long hours.

Suddenly but I know not how,
The little bird fell on the ground.
Injured out of severe pain as it cried,
A sense of guilt I had in my heart.

Lifting it with a lot of care,
For it's well being I had a prayer.
Back into the nest as it rest,
Mother came serving them at her best.

After the rain came the winter,
Snow covering the ground all over.
Having a great new world their way,
Fully Grown one day they all flew away.

A Perfect Date

A beautiful beach as the sun about to set,
Colored Clouds making different shapes.
As light plays in the showy sky,
The busy waves keep passing by.

On the shore as they keep walking,
They knew not how long it's been.
It seems like a complete lifetime,
Full of love and heavenly wine.

Having feelings so true and so deep,
Their hearts filled with sweet melodies.
No words to say, nothing to gain,
A sweet touch of hands, relieving of all pain.

As the sun disappears in the deep water,
Comes the moonlit night, stars all over.
The cool breeze played the music,
As they danced with passionate affection.

Happy together as they always were,
God played a trick to test how much they really care.
Angels came down seeing their romance,
Blessed them giving them a happy chance.

A Chance to choose one among the two,
A golden leaf for printing their words to.
One being all richness of life except their love,
Other one their love with all they have.

Both the leaves read the same,
They were not for richness and fame.
The heavenly showers enriched their lives,
Keeping the flame of their love alive.

Denied Luck

"Give me some bucks, something to eat,
I have no home to go in this scorching heat."
Unlucky soul deprived of everything,
Cried for help hoping to get something.

Clouds of uncertainty hovers her life,
As each day passes begging for alms.
Carrying a little life in her weary hands,
Day long Nothing to eat worth a pound.

Child cried out of long hunger,
Tears wet her eyes being a mother.
Doors after doors she knocked replied,
"Watchman don't let them in next time."

Every richness she came across,
to her dismay it was poor at heart.
Everyone is busy making his fortune,
No one has time to hear her sad tune.

Night falls without a piece of meal,
Her wounded life needed to heal.
Burdened with the load of two lives,
Helpless but she strive hard to survive.

Frustrated with her denied life,
At last she got some cooked rice.
Thanking the great soul for his kind,
It felt like a million dollar find.

Overcoming the day long hunger,
Found a roadside tree as shelter.
Child slept in the warmth of her arms,
As her tired eyes gazed the night sky.

She feared going to sleep,
As the new day slowly creep.
For each day she strive for some bucks,
To Overcome the curse of her denied luck.

Lets not neglect those who are deprived by their birth and Help them to improve their lives.

It took almost 3 hours, more than the earlier one.

Little rose

Living under the arms of sky,
I enjoyed every day which passed by.
As a little bud I opened my eyes,
Watching the morning sun in the beautiful sky.
With friends surrounding all the time,
We played, we laughed with rhythm divine.
The smooth wind was a delight,
Nights brought me sweet moonlight.
Dancing in the heavenly rain,
I never knew the feel of pain.

One sweet morning it all changed,
Lying helpless on ground I prayed.
Prayed for the strength to stand again,
Nothing helped but all in vain.
Adding beauty to a dead bunch,
I got to my ultimate destination.
No wind,no sun ever touched me,
As I lay dumb wrapped in a sheet.
Loosing my charm day by day,
I felt as my soul slowly taken away.

Thrown on ground fading away with time,
I got dissolved into the soil.
I could see new buds blooming around,
This is the way Life goes on.

An original piece of work. The best ever for me.It took almost 2 hours.
If u loved reading it please leave a comment.More to come..........

Flying time

What is time?Have you ever thought of it?
Have u ever thought of going back in time? what would the world look like if there is no time constraints, one can move in any time, future or past.Imagine a world where time frame is common for all but one can move in any time, future or past.Suppose one person in this world moves back two years back in his life, the whole world moves to that state of two years back.At the same time someone else moves one year ahead into time.Again the whole world moves to that state. Thus we would have a great life oscillating between different times.Everyone trying to be in that time which is pleasant to him. What a disaster it will be?
While walking when you take a single step you have lost that step forever. You can never take that step again in your life, it has become the thing of past. But what has happened is that single step has made you to reach where you are at present.
Have you ever imagined that we live life one second at a time. And every second we live transfers us to the next one and thus the chain goes on.This chain is almost 1892160000 long in length.
Life process has made every living being to convert time into usable energy which is utilized whenever required.
Utilizing time has different meaning for different people.
For a student it is about converting time into knowledge.
For a businessman it is about converting time into money
For those who live hard to earn a meal a day it's about getting a meal a day etc.
What does it mean when someone says that you are wasting your time?In human language wasting time is about not converting time to any usable energy.
Imagine a state of freedom where there is no need to convert your time into any of the usable energy. There is no sense of time. There is so much self sufficiency that you don't require anything material to go on.I think this is the state in which God lives.
